Trouble signing in or joining

Most things are quick fixes. Here's the short version.

Can't sign in

Use the same method you signed up with:

  • If you signed up with email and password, use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen. You'll get a reset email.
  • If you signed up with Sign in with Google, tap the Google button. Don't try to set a password — the account lives in Google.
  • If you signed up with Sign in with Apple (on iOS), tap the Apple button. Same reason.

Mixing methods doesn't work. If you signed up with Google and then try email/password, you'll get an "email or password is incorrect" error — that's the safe, generic message. Use Google.

Invite link or short code doesn't work

Three usual reasons:

  • The admin rotated it. Old links and codes stop working when a fresh one is generated. Ask the admin for the new one.
  • The admin revoked it. No new joiners until the admin rotates a new link.
  • The group is full. Ask the admin to bump the squad cap or remove someone inactive.

"Email already in use"

Your email is already attached to a Finto account. Use the sign-in screen instead of register. If you don't remember your password, use the "Forgot password?" link.

"You need to be 13 or older"

Finto requires a minimum age of 13. The check uses the birth year you entered during onboarding. If you typed the wrong year and got blocked, email team@mail.finto.fun and we'll sort it.

Page is blank, hangs, or shows a weird error

First two steps:

  • Hard refresh the page. On a Mac browser: +Shift+R. On Windows: Ctrl+F5.
  • Sign out and sign back in. The account menu is in the top-right on web; on iOS it's under Profile.

If it still doesn't work, email team@mail.finto.fun with the device + browser you're on, and what you were trying to do.

I asked to delete my account and changed my mind

Before the 30-day window closes, email privacy@finto.fun from the address on the account. We'll cancel the deletion. After the window closes the data is gone and you'll need a new account.
